I saw this Bogart 5 string bass (originally yellow - check track pictures!) in a music shop in Berlin in 1993. I had just lost my job and only 2k on my bank. The price ticket on the Bogart said 1790. I was afraid I was insane but I had to buy it. Didnt regret it for one sec since. It was love on first sight. Though I dont play bass regularly, just occasionally, actually just when I am producing a song for which I "need" bass guitar I play it. I have used it in a lot of tracks in these 27 years I own it. Just in this album's tracks it is featured best. A "love on first sight" should get more attention but ... well, my other loves also need their time .... ;-)

Ich habe diesen Bogart 5-Saiter-Bass 1993 in einem Musikgeschäft in Berlin gesehen. Ich hatte gerade meinen Job verloren und nur noch 2.000 auf meiner Bank. Auf dem Preisschild des Bogart stand 1790. Ich befürchtete, ich sei verrückt, aber ich musste ihn kaufen. Seitdem habe ich es keine Sekunde bereut. Es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick. Obwohl ich nicht regelmäßig Bass spiele, nur gelegentlich, eigentlich nur, wenn ich ein Lied produziere, für das ich Bass-Gitarre "brauche", spiele ich ihn. Ich habe ihn in den 27 Jahren, in denen ich ihn besitze, in vielen Stücken verwendet. Nur in den Stücken dieses Albums wird er deutlicher gefeatured. Eine "Liebe auf den ersten Blick" sollte mehr Aufmerksamkeit bekommen, aber ... nun ja, meine anderen Lieben brauchen auch ihre Zeit .... ;-)
